New Zealand Diploma in Primary Industry Business Management
Level 5

This programme has been designed specifically for owners and managers of businesses within the viticulture, horticulture, apiculture, aquaculture and farming industries. Or for staff with relevant industry experience and ready to advance into a management capacity.

Learners will be able to directly apply what they have learnt to their own business with a blended delivery, ideal for people who are working.

Leadership for Primary Industries

This micro-credential is designed to provide the primary industries sector with individuals with leadership capability tailored to the sector's specific requirements.

Project Management for Primary Industries
Level 4(external link)

This micro-credential is designed to upskill current primary industry employees, from the workforce to project managers, enabling them to increase their essential knowledge, skill and capabilities within their area of employment.

New Zealand Certificate in Horticulture Production (Nursery Production)
Level 4(external link)

Staff will learn the skills needed to work in the nursery industry. This programme includes training on the nursery environment, operations, crop selection, crop protection, equipment, management and marketing, and human resources.

New Zealand Certificate in Horticulture Production (Viticulture)

Staff will learn the skills needed to work in the viticulture industry. This programme focuses on the hands-on and theoretical knowledge you need to look after a vineyard and supervise staff successfully.

New Zealand Certificate in Horticulture (General)
Level 3(external link)

Staff will learn the skills needed to work in the nursery industry. This programme includes training on plant science, the growing environment, plant health, propagation and cultivation, and growing systems.

Primary Industry Skills (Horticulture)

This industry-recognised programme focuses on gaining the introductory skills and experience needed to work in the horticulture industry, emphasising safe work practices. A number of skills can be converted into a bespoke course to fit your business, including first aid, Growsafe, tree pruning, crop health, irrigation systems, or chainsaw use.
