Ni Yunyi (Tina) explains how the practical training at NMIT is helping students to bridge the gap between study and their future careers!

Ni Yunyi, also known as Tina, is studying nursing at NMIT in Nelson and says the course's hands-on approach helps students transition smoothly from their studies to their future careers.

“The practical training and assignments is really close to the real-life clinical situations,” says Tina.

“When we enter clinical placement, you are not overwhelmed or scared."

Tina shares how the tutors at NMIT are there "to help you, to guide you, and to encourage you.”

Tina encourages prospective students to explore the programme further.

“If you are watching this video right now, go to our NMIT website and get to know more information about nursing.”

NMIT’s nursing programme combines classroom learning with practical experience, giving students the skills and confidence they need to succeed in healthcare careers.
