Ben Doyle

Ben has worked at NMIT since 2015. He made the move to Nelson for the lifestyle the region offers and the schooling opportunities for his two children.

Before moving back to New Zealand, Ben taught English in South Korea for many years. He has also taught in London, England, and Budapest, Hungary (where he gained his CELTA qualification).

Ben is an active teacher who likes to bring energy and enthusiasm to the classroom.

“Making the students feel comfortable in the class environment and listening to their needs is important to me," he says.

"Helping students with practical language skills and seeing them progress through the levels at NMIT is rewarding.”

Ben has been studying towards the MTESOL (Master of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) over the last few years and will graduate with this qualification in 2025.
