The aim of this course is to provide the student the opportunity to participate in a supervised placement experience so as to:
• Undertake basic social work roles and tasks under the guidance of an experienced practitioner.
• Strengthen the links between their developing knowledge of social work theories, models and ethics with day to day social work practice.
Students will develop the skills to critically analyse practice issues in social work and begin to develop their own practice and their professional identity.
