This course aims to help learners develop their spreadsheet skills using Excel. Learn the basics, good housekeeping and fundamental foundation skills.
Pre-requisites
None.
Indicative course content
- Open Excel programme and understand the differences between web and desktop versions
- Navigate around a spreadsheet, cells, rows and understand various components of a spreadsheet
- Using worksheet tools such as a series fill, autofill, flashfill, shortcuts, etc
- Formatting data, filter and sort data in a spreadsheet
- Link spreadsheet cells to Word documents and other spreadsheet worksheets
- Use a standard spreadsheet application that includes the formatting of a spreadsheet, and the concept of absolute and relative referencing
- Produce computer spreadsheets that include inputting text and numbers
- Customising Excel
- Performing simple arithmetic
- Printing spreadsheets
- Produce graphs from data
