Finished the Beginners courses? Take this Intermediate course to get you up to speed.

This course is for those who have finished Beginners 1 and 2 or have learnt some basic Chinese before.

The course includes more detailed topics and advanced sentence pattern, e.g. ordering food in Chinese, shopping, visiting tourist places, as well as introducing Chinese culture.

You can complete this course as many times as you need to before you move up into the Intermediate 2(external link) (external link)classes.

Entry requirements | Domestic students

If you are new to NMIT, please provide us with a verified copy(external link) of your ID upon application or enter your NSN (National Student Number). If your NSN is unverified, we will request a verified copy(external link) of your ID.

If you are a full-time secondary school student, NMIT is able to enrol you if you meet all of the following:

are 16 years of age and over, and
attend this course outside of normal school hours, and
have obtained approval from your school principal (or approval from your home school supervisor if you are homeschooled).
