He teaches the NMIT Master of Applied Business and draws upon a wealth of experience from senior management, director and board chair positions. He also has supervised over 60 research projects and completed two of his own master’s degrees.
He is interested in strategic management, philosophy of education and research methodology in business.
“In my classes,” he says, “we focus on constructing arguments that are embedded in good reasoning. This is a generic skillset that will serve ākonga well throughout their life journey and can be applied to whatever they want to do.”
Dr Hannigan says that he enjoys working with master's students at NMIT— the environment is more relaxed than at a university, and the resources are readily available to support students to do top-quality research.
