This course introduces students to core concepts within the fields of psychology and human development. Students will begin to understand lived experience of wellbeing across the lifespan in relation to the social, environmental, political, economic and cultural contexts of Aotearoa New Zealand. In this course a range of historical and contemporary theoretical perspectives that underpin social service assessment and interventions will be explored.
