'A Place for Us' by Leanna Watkins, is one of the eight pieces of artwork on display in the G Block foyer during Te Ramaroa.

Beginning in 2013, Te Ramaroa is shaped by the community. Whether a chocolate maker or a dentist, installations are created on living room floors and in classrooms to become part of a winter wonderland of illumination across Nelson city.

G Block at NMIT Nelson Campus holds works by eight current Arts and Media ākonga. Their mixed media creations range from the miniature to the massive.

Klaasz Breukel, tutor at NMIT Te Pūkenga and a Te Ramaroa Trustee, is once again collaborating with colleague Ellen Cieraad for the event, a researcher who studies the impact of light and night.

Their installation, Scope can be viewed during Te Ramaroa in the G_Space Gallery at NMIT. An online survey, as part of the collaboration, is available for anyone to take part in. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TeRamaroa(external link)

Te Ramaroa is held across Nelson city from 30 June to 4 July from 5.30-9.30. For more information, visit the Te Ramaroa website(external link).
